ZHAGA D4i CERTIFICATION

Street lighting and urban lighting product series are Zhaga-D4i certified.

Fael LUCE has joined the Zhaga consortium and all the luminaires of CHALLENGE (CHALLENGE, CHALLENGE CITY, CHALLENGE WAY) and PROXIMO (PROXIMO, PROXIMO CITY, PROXIMO WAY) street lighting series together with all the luminaires of DOMINO urban lighting series (DOMINO PARK, DOMINO PLAZA, DOMINO STREET AP, DOMINO STREET RC-RD, DOMINO FLY) are conformed to the recent rules imposed by the consortium in order to ensure countless advantages for customers aspiring to transform cities into real Smart Cities.
Nowadays it is increasingly important to have open, interoperable and deployable lighting networks to transform cities into Smart Cities by promoting innovation and expanding the range of public utility services.

ZHAGA D4i CERTIFICATION

Zhaga D4i is a joint certification programme between Zhaga and the DALI Alliance (DiiA).
The Zhaga consortium (which aims to standardise the specifications of interfaces between LED luminaires and communication nodes) and DALI Alliance (DiiA - global industry organisation for DALI) have unveiled their joint Zhaga-D4i certification program to produce a single Zhaga-D4i certification with the aim of enabling interchangeability of luminaire components from different manufacturers and therefore, without any brand constraints. In the past, in fact, luminaires equipped with Zhaga connections have limited customers to using only ballasts from a specific proprietary system managed by a single manufacturer. Today, however, thanks to this alliance, other driver manufacturers can participate in the competition by offering D4i-certified equipment that interacts in this open ecosystem.
This certification covers all critical features including mechanical adaptation, digital communication, data reporting and power requirements within a single luminaire, ensuring "plug&play" interoperability of luminaires and peripherals such as connectivity nodes.

HOW IT WORKS

Zhaga-D4i combines the outdoor connectivity specifications of Zhaga Book 18 version 2 with DiiA's D4i specification for DALI intra-luminaire interface.
